Uzbekistan creates 250,400 new jobs in 1Q
The publication said that 156,800 jobs or 62.6% were created by small and private businesses. About 13,200 new jobs were created due to creation of new enterprises, expansion and reconstruction of capacities of existing companies.
In the result of implementation of measures on rehabilitation of existing insolvent and idle enterprises, some 3,400 new jobs were created. Over 16,200 new jobs were created at production, social and market infrastructure, including construction of automobiles and railroads, etc.
Employment of population grew by 2.5% in the result of adopted measures at labour market. Salaries increased by 18.4%, average size of pensions – by 27.7%. Aggregate income of population rose by 15.6% year-on-year.
Within implementation of the state programme “The Year of Prosperity and Well-being”, the commercial banks issued 62.2 billion soums in the first quarter of 2013 to finance business projects of college graduates, small and family businesses.
Total volume of resources, directed due to all financial resources at implementation of the state programme “The Year of Prosperity and Well-being”, reached over 1.3 trillion soums in the first three months of 2013.
