Uzbekistan constructs and reconstructs 213.6 km of automobile roads

In the reporting period, the country rehabilitated 88 km of railway roads, produced 272 cargo and 13 passenger cars.

About 425 billion soums of capital investments were directed to construction and reconstruction of automobile roads, which part of the Uzbek national highway, of which 257 billion soums were resources of Republican Road Fund and US$73 million due to foreign loans, attracted under the guarantee of the Government of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan used US$20.3 million within the implementation of the project on electrification of Maraqand-Qarshi railroad and US$12.1 million – within the project on electrification of Qarshi-Termez railroad.
