Uzbekistan completes realization of 158 large investment projects

Uzbekistan completed implementation of 158 large investment projects for US$7.4 billion in 2015 within the framework of the Programme of measures for structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production for 2015-2019.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan, the projects “Construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex on the base of the deposit Surgil”, “Expansion of production of soda ash at the Kungrad soda plant”, “Organization of production of energy-saving LED lighting products in the territory of the SIZ Jizzakh” were completed.
Works on projects “Production Labo cars in Khorezm region”, “Organization of the production of plastic materials and accessories for the footwear industry in the territory of the SIZ Jizzakh”, and “Organization of production of leather garments in Namangan”and others were also realized in 2015.
