Uzbekistan, China to sign documents for US$20bn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and China are planning to sign contracts worth US$20 billion within the framework of the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China, the head of the presidential press service Asad Khojayev said.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to China from 11 to 13 May 2017. On 14-15 May, he will take part in the international forum “One Belt, One Way” in Beijing.

Khojayev noted that, according to preliminary data, the parties will sign about 100 agreements for US$20 billion.

He noted that relations between Uzbekistan and China are actively developing. The trade turnover between the countries in 2016 made up US$4.2 billion. China’s investments into economy of Uzbekistan exceeded US$8 billion.
