Uzbekistan, China plan to increase bilateral trade turnover up to US$10bn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and China are planning to increase the volume of trade turnover up to US$10 billion, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated in Beijing.

He said that that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China will reach US$5 billion in 2017. He said that in near future the figure will rise twice.

President noted that China is actively investing in the economy of Uzbekistan. Now in Uzbekistan there are more than 700 companies and firms with the participation of Chinese capital. Mirziyoyev noted that China directed about US$8 billion of investments to the economy of Uzbekistan.

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China made up US$4.2 billion in 2016.
