Uzbekistan, China Deepen Interregional Strategic Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade held talks with a Chinese delegation led by Wang Hongjin, Director of the Department of Commerce of Shanxi Province.

The parties discussed prospects for further developing Uzbekistan–China strategic partnership, including strengthening interregional cooperation and exchanging experience in key sectors of the economy.

The Chinese side confirmed its readiness to expand technological cooperation in renewable energy, water conservation, industrial production, transport, and agriculture.

During the negotiations, the sides agreed to jointly develop a portfolio of new projects and ensure the participation of business representatives from both countries in the Third Uzbekistan–China Interregional Forum, scheduled for May 20–22 in Xi'an.

Special attention was given to the forum’s role as a platform for enhancing interregional ties and promoting joint initiatives across various sectors.

Following the meeting, a joint working group comprising representatives of both sides was established to coordinate and implement the agreed projects.
