Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Strengthens Digitalization and Business Support
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 February, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov held a working meeting with the Chamber’s staff, during which key organizational and strategic issues were discussed.
At the meeting, it was officially announced that, in line with a decision of the Chamber’s Presidium, Sherzodkhon Rustamovich Ibragimov has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The new deputy chairman has been tasked with overseeing the Chamber’s digitalization efforts, the activities of the “Business-Sputnik” centers, engagement with Chamber members and the provision of comprehensive services to them, financial support for businesses, as well as the development of the trade sector.
Special attention was paid to the work of the “Business-Sputnik” centers, which are expected to provide entrepreneurs with a full range of services, ensure prompt and transparent handling of inquiries, and effectively address issues arising in the regions.
During the meeting, a critical and analytical assessment was conducted of the effectiveness of tasks set out in Presidential Resolution No. 126 dated 14 March 2024. Issues related to the transformation of the activities of Uzbekexpertiza JSC and the improvement of procedures for issuing certificates of origin were also discussed.
In addition, participants reviewed priority areas for the development of Trade Development Company JSC, including expanding mechanisms to support exporters, strengthening practical assistance in entering foreign markets, and introducing additional services for entrepreneurs.
The meeting concluded with specific instructions being issued to responsible managers across all identified areas, with an emphasis on strict oversight of their implementation.
