Uzbekistan Catches Nearly 99,000 Tons of Fish in First Nine Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first nine months of 2025, Uzbekistan harvested 98.5 thousand tons of fish, representing a 9.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee.

By region, the highest catches were recorded in Khorezm with 15.5 thousand tons, Tashkent with 12.2 thousand tons, and Andijan with 10.3 thousand tons. Other regions reported catches ranging from 2 thousand tons in Kashkadarya to 9.6 thousand tons in Jizzakh.

The Republic of Karakalpakstan caught 6.9 thousand tons, Navoi 5.6 thousand tons, Namangan 5.2 thousand tons, Samarkand 7.7 thousand tons, Surkhandarya 3.6 thousand tons, Syrdarya 6.9 thousand tons, and Ferghana 9 thousand tons.
