Uzbekistan Boosts Support for Local Poultry Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, a meeting focused on the development of Uzbekistan’s local poultry industry was held in Tashkent, attended by Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
Participants highlighted the positive impact of government support for the sector in recent years, while emphasizing the need to expand assistance measures for the poultry industry in 2026.
The discussion centered on current challenges facing the sector and concrete proposals for addressing them.
Key initiatives include improving mechanisms for providing subsidies to local producers and creating more favorable conditions for entrepreneurs. Special attention was given to simplifying the process of Value-Added Tax (VAT) refunds.
It is proposed that refunds be issued within three days of report submission and that the process be fully automated.
The implementation of these measures is aimed at stimulating poultry enterprises, supporting entrepreneurship, and ensuring stability in the domestic market.
