Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan significantly increased its gold exports from January to August 2025. According to the National Statistics Committee, the volume of gold shipments abroad reached US$8.42 billion, marking a 68.9% increase compared to the same period of last year.
Gold’s share in the country’s export structure rose to 36.7% from 28.5% in January–August 2024, underscoring the continuing central role of the precious metal in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade.
Overall, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover for the first eight months of 2025 amounted to US$51.4 billion, up 19.8%, or US$8.49 billion, compared to the same period last year.
