Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Sales of commemorative coins dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the birth of the great commander Amir Temur, also known as Sahibkiran, have commenced in Uzbekistan.

The Central Bank has organized the release of the coins and souvenir sets, catering to both numismatists and admirers of historical memorabilia. The issuance includes coins minted from 999.9 fine gold and silver, each weighing 31.1 grams. Both the gold and silver editions feature a portrait of Amir Temur and are engraved with aphorisms from the "Temur Tuzuklari" (The Institutes of Temur).

For collectors and enthusiasts of historical heritage, souvenir sets are also available, consisting of three coins weighing 31.1 grams each.
