Uzbekistan bans use of flammable gases to fill balloons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan introduced amendments to the rules of fire safety for objects with massive presence of people.

In line with the order of the ministry, Uzbekistan banned use of flammable gases to fill balloons and other similar products. The decision was adopted to ensure fire safety at objects with massive presence of people.

Norma.uz reported that hydrogen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, the gaseous hydrocarbons (e.g., methane, ethane, ethylene) were included to the list of flammable gases.

The rules of fire safety for objects with a massive presence of people set general requirements for fire safety in Uzbekistan and are mandatory for all enterprises, institutions, organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, type of activity and affiliation, their employees, and citizens.
