Uzbekistan Backs Pakistan’s Middle East Ceasefire Initiative

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Senator of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

The parties confirmed that Uzbekistan highly values the efforts of Pakistan's leadership and fully supports Islamabad's initiatives aimed at achieving peace and stability. This includes measures to ensure a two-week ceasefire in the Middle East.

During the conversation, hope was expressed that continued diplomatic engagement and constructive efforts would contribute to the establishment of lasting peace and stability both within the region and beyond its borders.
