Uzbekistan attracts grants for US$45.8m in 2Q

Uzbekistan attracted 8 grants for US$16.8 million in healthcare sector in the second quarter of 2015 and three grants for US$15 million in the direction of education, science and training of workers.

Seven grants for US$7.3 million were attracted in the direction of development of economy, financial sector and entrepreneurship and three grants for US$1.9 million – social protection and development of culture.

In the sphere of ecology, the country attracted three grants for US$2.2 million, agriculture and water management – 2 grants for US$0.3 million and other directions – 3 grants for US$0.5 million.

As earlier reported, the Government of Uzbekistan attracted 76 grants for US$49.6 million in the first quarter of 2015.
