Uzbekistan attracts grants for US$42.7m in 2Q

Uzbekistan attracted six grants for US$25.4 million to implement projects in healthcare sector.

According to the Ministry, Uzbekistan attracted 10 grants for US$3.5 million to education sector and improving skills of workers, education and internship, as well as purchase of computer and software.

Four grants for US$1.5 million were attracted to improve equipment and institutional development of the state bodies, agriculture and water management – six grants for US$0.6 million.

Uzbekistan attracted two grants for US$0.8 million to develop energy sector, energy saving and introduction of alternative sources of energy and one grant for US$6 million to implement project in water supply and sanitary.

Two grants for US$3.6 million were attracted to realize projects in ecology sector. Uzbekistan attracted five grants for US$1.3 million on other directions.

Uzbekistan attracted 60 grants for total sum of US$47.4 million in the first quarter of 2014.
