Uzbekistan Approves Status of Agricultural Insurance Fund

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved the Regulation on the Agricultural Insurance Fund (Resolution No. 772), which defines its status, objectives, functions, and management procedures.

The document establishes the Fund’s primary goals: organizing and managing agricultural insurance, as well as providing compensation to agricultural producers in the event of an insured event under an agricultural insurance contract.

The Fund has the authority to enter into insurance and reinsurance agreements, cooperate with intermediaries, insurance and reinsurance brokers, and other professional market participants.

The Fund’s activities are managed by a Board, which ensures the fulfillment of the organization’s functions and tasks.

The establishment of the Fund is aimed at enhancing financial protection for the agricultural sector and supporting the sustainable development of agriculture in the country.
