Uzbekistan Approves Rules for Temporary Outdoor Structures
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Justice has registered a departmental document establishing rules for installing temporary structures in open spaces, including monitors and artificial Christmas trees. The document sets requirements for safety and structural reliability.
According to the new regulations, erection of temporary structures must be carried out by qualified specialists based on project documentation. Structures are required to withstand wind, rain, and seismic impacts.
Standards are set for passage widths inside temporary constructions: for structures longer than 30 meters, passages must be at least 1.6 meters wide, and for shorter structures, at least 1.2 meters.
If a structure has one or two exits, occupancy must not exceed 50 people. The distance between rows must not exceed 0.45 meters, with passageways at least 0.9 meters wide.
Metal elements must be protected against corrosion, and wooden components treated with fire-resistant compounds. Structures must also include safety signage, emergency exits, and allow safe movement with quick evacuation options in case of emergencies.
The introduced standards aim to enhance safety during outdoor events and minimize risks for visitors and participants.
