Uzbekistan Approves Procedure for Paid Medical Services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved Regulation No. 718 dated 11 November 2025, establishing the procedure for providing paid services in medical institutions under the Ministry of Health.
According to the regulation, if a patient seeks planned medical care on their own initiative, without a referral, such care is provided on a paid basis in accordance with the established procedure.
Services not included in the state-guaranteed package of free medical care offered by primary healthcare institutions are considered additional and are paid for by the patient.
Patient reception and registration are carried out in the registration departments of medical facilities. The medical record of each patient records the provision of paid services based on identification documents.
Service is provided only upon full prepayment. Once payment is made according to the approved price list, the patient is referred for consultation with a specialist doctor and/or for instrumental or laboratory examinations.
Based on the results of the diagnostics, the specialist determines further treatment — either scheduling a consultation with a narrow-profile specialist or prescribing therapy in outpatient or inpatient settings.
