Uzbekistan Approves New Rules for International Transport Permits

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved new regulations governing the issuance, exchange, and use of permits for international road transport of cargo and passengers. The rules are formalized in Resolution No. 114 dated 25 March 2026.

The document establishes uniform procedures for both domestic and foreign carriers, specifying how permits should be obtained and applied during international transport operations. Uzbek permits will indicate the types of transport and the conditions of their use.

The regulations classify permits into several categories, including documents for bilateral and transit cargo transport, shipments to third countries, universal permits, and separate types for bilateral and transit operations. Additionally, there are permits for irregular passenger transport in both bilateral and transit traffic.

It is specifically noted that regular international passenger transport by road will be conducted based on coordination between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan and relevant foreign states.

The new rules aim to streamline transport operations and foster international cooperation in logistics.
