Uzbekistan approves list of people, who can receive medicaments on preferential terms
The Government approved the list of persons, who have right to receive medicaments on preferential terms at out-patient treatment. The list came into force from 1 September 2013.
The resolution also approved a regulation on order of provision of medicaments on preferential terms to separate group of persons at out-patient treatment.
According to the resolution, patients with cancer, tuberculosis, leprosy, endocrinology diseases (diabetes), mental problems and HIV can receive medicaments on preferential terms.
The persons, who undergo heart operation or transplantation, can also receive medicaments on preferential terms. Single elder pensioners, participants of the World War II, people with disabilities, who participated in liquidation of consequences of Chernobyl nuclear station, war participants and pensioners, who served at nuclear polygons and radiation objects can receive medicaments on preferential terms.
The document said that the patients can receive preferential medicaments via hospitals or drug stores. The medicaments are issued for free of charge at hospitals based on prescription of the doctors.
The resolution said that drug stores will provide medicaments on preferential terms on special prescriptions, issued by doctors.
The list of medicaments, which are provided on preferential terms, is determined by the Ministry of Healthcare in cooperation with Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan. The prescription form is also approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.
The number of medicaments, issued to patients, should be enough to one course of treatment. The prescription is valid for a month.
