Uzbekistan Approves Customs Control Procedure for Postal Shipments
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved Resolution No. 700 dated 6 November 2025, introducing regulations on the customs control and clearance of international postal and courier shipments.
According to the document, all goods sent via postal and courier services and crossing the customs border are subject to mandatory customs control.
Postal operators and express carriers are required to present shipments to customs authorities for inspection and examination.
Imported and exported goods must be delivered to the customs post of destination in compliance with customs transit requirements.
Costs associated with transportation, loading, unloading, storage, and other similar operations are borne by the postal operators or express carriers.
Customs control is carried out using a risk management system based on the shipment declaration, with consignments classified under “red,” “yellow,” and “green” corridors.
