Uzbekistan approves Concept of Botanic Garden development

Within the approved Concept, it is planned to reconstruct entrance zone and objects of the garden, construct visit center and green theatre to host cultural and scientific events.

It is planned to carry out measures on expanding of collection of plants, which were included in red book, and rare plants. The concept envisages to turn Botanic Garden into unique nature-plant complex of national importance.

The measures included to the concept will be financed due to state budget, off-budget resources of Science Academy, charity funds, income received from economic activities, grants and loans of foreign financial institutions and organizations, as well as donor states, as well as other resources.
