Uzbekistan Approves Amendments to Azerbaijan Investment Fund

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree approving amendments to the agreement establishing the Uzbek-Azerbaijan Investment Fund.

The document formalizes updated cooperation terms agreed upon by the governments of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan last summer in Shusha. The fund, originally established under an agreement signed in February 2023, is designed to finance priority projects in the industrial, agricultural, and logistics sectors.

The new decree officially ratifies the protocol amending the base agreement and expands mechanisms for collaboration between the two parties. The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan has been designated as the responsible authority for implementing the international agreement.

Once the decree takes effect, the Cabinet of Ministers, together with relevant agencies, will monitor compliance with the obligations to ensure the successful execution of joint investment projects.
