Uzbekistan appoints new Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, Ulugbek Maksudov has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia. On 6 May 2018, Ulugbek Maksudov left for the city of Riyadh.

Prior to this appointment, he worked as the head of the department of the Office for Cooperation with Middle and Near East countries of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, and earlier - Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Jiddah (Saudi Arabia).
