Uzbekistan and US to sign agreements worth US$4 billion

Uzbekistan and the United States intend to sign agreements worth US$4 billion within the framework of the official visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyev to Washington, the TV channel "Uzbekistan 24" reported quoting the Chairman of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the United States on his first official visit from 15 to 17 May 2018.
Carolyn Lamm said that Uzbekistan and the United States are planning to sign agreements on trade, commerce, and investment for US$4 billion.
She noted that countries have many opportunities for creating joint ventures. In her opinion, the most promising areas of economic cooperation are the oil and gas industry and non-ferrous metallurgy.
