Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 20-24 January 2020, an expert group of Uzbekistan visited the United States to study law enforcement practice in the field of insolvency regulation to develop a draft new Law on Insolvency.

As part of the visit, meetings were held at the US Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of New York, Fordham University, the Department of Justice, the International Finance Corporation, the Treasury, the US Department of Commerce, the World Bank, and a round table was organized with the participation of American bankruptcy lawyers at the office of White & Case.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, during the negotiations the most common and unique types of bankruptcy cases of US legal entities and individuals were discussed, including through the liquidation, reorganization and restructuring of debt.
