The press service of the Ukrainian ministry said that the Minister and Ambassador considered issues of boosting economic cooperation, including supplies of agriculture products from Ukraine to Uzbekistan and joint production of agriculture equipment.
Uzbek envoy highly rated cooperation between Uzbekistan and Ukraine and affirmed intention to support and develop relations. Alisher Abdualiev said Uzbekistan hopes to continue cooperation in plant growing and production of agriculture equipment. He said that Uzbekistan is ready to share its experience in land-reclamations, which could be useful for southern regions of Ukraine. He noted that Uzbekistan highly rates scientific-technical potential of Ukraine, in particular, in developing of hybrid wheat and selection works in cattle-breeding.
Ihor Shvaika in his turn said that the goal of the meeting is to show that Ukraine is interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan. He said that Ukraine has no biased relations to foreign companies. He said that Uzbekistan and Ukraine should consider issues of supplying Ukrainian products to Uzbekistan and boost works on joint production of agriculture equipment. Ukrainian Minister invited Uzbek companies to Ukraine and said Ministry, which he heads, is ready to help to solve any problems, which Uzbek companies can face in Ukraine.
Minister stated that Ukraine is interested in supply of agriculture equipment to Uzbekistan and create joint ventures in Uzbekistan to provide services to equipment. He said that Ukraine hopes for cooperation and exchange of experience among enterprises and scientific-research institutes in gardening sector.
At the end of the meeting, the Ukrainian minister invited Uzbekistan to participate in international exhibition “Agro-2014”.
