Uzbekistan and TÜV NORD Discuss EU Market Certification

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with representatives of TÜV NORD, a global leader in certification, inspection, and technical supervision.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in product conformity assessment, certification, and technical inspection, as well as measures to improve the quality of domestic goods and their compliance with international standards.

Special attention was given to the potential presence of TÜV NORD in Uzbekistan through a public-private partnership, preparing local manufacturers for international markets, implementing global standards, improving certification processes, and developing testing infrastructure.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to collaborate with local partners, including conducting inspections and issuing international certificates. Plans are underway to open an official TÜV NORD branch in Uzbekistan.

TÜV NORD provides conformity assessment and management system services in line with international standards, including those required by the European Union market. The company operates in multiple countries and is recognized for strict adherence to global quality and safety norms.
