Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan Strengthen Cooperation in Fuel and Energy Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, met with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Energy, Annageldy Saparov, and the Chairman of the national oil and gas company Turkmengaz, Maksad Babaev.
The meeting also included leaders and representatives of key fuel and energy companies from both countries.
The sides noted that bilateral relations in the energy sector are developing steadily and effectively, thanks to the initiatives of the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Discussions focused on a package of agreements adopted at the VII Consultative Meeting of Central Asian heads of state in Tashkent, aimed at strengthening strategic partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation.
Participants agreed to jointly implement measures for further development of mutually beneficial and constructive collaboration in the fuel and energy sector, including effective execution of initiatives agreed upon by the two countries’ leaders.
