Uzbekistan and Türkiye Agree to Expand Cooperation in Professional Qualifications and Employment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister for Poverty Reduction and Employment, Alisher Muratov, met in Ankara with Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security, Faruk Özçelik, and other officials from the Turkish ministry.

The parties discussed developing partnership in vocational training, creating qualification standards aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), and establishing a Qualifications Assessment Center in Tashkent based on Türkiye’s experience.

A separate session was held with Ashkin Toren, Director of the Turkish Agency for the Evaluation of Professional Qualifications.

The discussions focused on implementing Türkiye’s professional standards in Uzbekistan, launching a system of mutual recognition of certifications, and establishing a joint Uzbek-Turkish Qualifications Assessment Center.

During the visit, members of the Uzbek delegation also participated in practical examinations for professional qualification assessment.
