Uzbekistan and Türkiye agree to expand cooperation in competition and consumer protection
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10–11 October, within the framework of the international conference on competition issues, Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights of Uzbekistan Khalilillo Turakhujaev held a meeting with a delegation led by Vice President of the Competition Authority of Türkiye, Cengiz Çolak.
During the talks, the parties discussed the regulation of digital platforms in accordance with antimonopoly legislation and exchanged views on international practices in this field.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to further expand cooperation between the competition authorities of the two countries, exchange practical experience, and organize joint seminars and training sessions.
Khalilillo Turakhujaev expressed his gratitude to his Turkish counterparts for their assistance and knowledge sharing, noting that strengthening bilateral ties creates additional opportunities to improve competition policy and consumer protection mechanisms.
As part of the conference, training seminars for Committee employees with the participation of experts from the Competition Authority of Türkiye are also planned.
