Uzbekistan and Turkey intend to bring bilateral trade to US$5 billion

Uzbekistan and Turkey intend to increase the volume of bilateral trade to US$5 billion in the next few years, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said on 30 April 2018 after talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The head of Uzbekistan said that the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkey made up US$1.5 billion, which is 30% higher than in 2016.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev added that the mutual trade turnover between the two countries grew by 20% and exceeded US$400 million in the first quarter of 2018.
The Uzbek-Turkish business forum concluded agreements worth US$3 billion on more than 50 new investment projects.
