Uzbekistan and the United States Expand Cooperation in Agriculture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 September 2025, Alisher Shukurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Jason Hafemeister, Advisor at the U.S. Department of Agriculture on trade and international agricultural affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan reported.

During the discussions, the parties reviewed further steps for developing the agricultural sector, including issues related to exporting Uzbek agricultural products to the U.S. market.

They agreed on the implementation of joint projects, exchange of innovative technologies and expertise, and the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere and is expected to open new opportunities for Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
