Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom Agree to Expand Bilateral Relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 November, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Madrahimov met with Timothy Smart, the British Ambassador to Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, both sides comprehensively discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for further expansion of cooperation across various sectors.

The parties noted positive dynamics in their engagement, including recent visits and contacts at multiple levels.

Particular attention was given to the untapped potential for developing trade, economic, and investment ties between the two countries.

Both sides agreed to continue close cooperation in 2026, including organizing joint events, reciprocal delegation visits, and conducting inter-ministerial political consultations.
