Uzbekistan and the EU discuss the prospects for deepening interaction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 June 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev received the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais.

The parties discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the context of implementing the agreements reached during the first visit to our country of the President of the European Council Donald Tusk to our country on 31 May - 2 June and talks with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The sides highly appreciated the practical results of the summit meeting in Tashkent, which made it possible to identify new horizons for the development of bilateral cooperation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The meeting addressed specific issues of strengthening and expanding relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
