Uzbekistan and the EC strengthen cooperation under the Global Gateway Strategy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade with a delegation led by Peteris Ustubs, Director-General for International Cooperation at the European Commission for the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific region.
During the negotiations, both sides discussed enhancing cooperation within the framework of the European Union’s Global Gateway strategy for 2017–2027.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of implementing joint projects in Uzbekistan in the areas of digital transformation, transport and logistics, as well as green energy.
Following the meeting, organizational matters were agreed upon for the 2025 Third Economic Forum “European Union – Central Asia” and the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will involve participation from countries located along the Trans-Caspian route.
