Uzbekistan and Taliban discuss prospects for peace process in Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the political office of the Taliban movement in Doha led by its leader Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai paid a working visit to Uzbekistan from 7 to 10 August 2018. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry.

According to the foreign policy department of Uzbekistan, the delegation of the Taliban movement held talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of the peace process in Afghanistan.
