Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Strengthen Agricultural Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, held talks with Tajikistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Kurbon Hakimzoda, to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral agricultural cooperation.
The meeting focused on expanding joint projects and strengthening practical collaboration between the two countries. Ministers explored opportunities to develop processing of agricultural products in border regions, covering fruit and vegetable, grain, legume, and oilseed sectors. Discussions also included the introduction of modern seed systems and the practical application of scientific research.
Both sides agreed to intensify experience-sharing, develop scientific cooperation, and implement advanced technologies aimed at improving agricultural productivity and reinforcing mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
