Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Joint special-tactical anti-terrorist exercises with the participation of units of the defense ministries of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan "Commonwealth 2020" were held at a high level.

The training was attended by representatives of the Special Operations Forces units of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan and a group of military personnel from various units of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan.

During the exercises, a professional exchange of experience between the military personnel of the two countries took place. The exercise process was monitored by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Kurbanov and the Minister of Defense of Tajikistan Sherali Mirzo.

According to the plan of the joint anti-terrorist exercises conducted at the Fakhrobod training ground in Khatlon region of Tajikistan, in order to repel an attack by illegal armed groups that crossed the state border, our troops conducted aerial reconnaissance, after an enemy was found, an air strike was carried out on it.

In repelling an attack on the border, air defense and air force units and the border troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan took part.

The heads of defense departments emphasized that conducting such exercises would increase the combat effectiveness of the armies of the two countries
