Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Discuss Mining and Metallurgy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March 2026, Bobir Islamov, Minister of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan, met with representatives from Tajikistan, led by Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects for bilateral cooperation in the mining, metallurgical, and broader industrial sectors.

Special attention was given to strengthening collaboration between industry-specific enterprises, including JSC AGMK and JSC Uzmetkombinat.

The talks also explored opportunities for joint workforce training and skills development, as well as collaboration with relevant educational institutions to support the industrial growth of both countries.
