Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 November, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrahimov held a meeting with Konstantin Obolensky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan.

During the talks, the parties discussed current issues and prospects for further development of political dialogue, as well as trade, economic, investment, financial-technical, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

Special attention was given to collaboration within international organizations and plans for joint activities in 2026.

The practical implementation of joint initiatives agreed upon during the October 16 negotiations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Switzerland in Bern was also discussed.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to carry out a series of joint events, including inter-ministerial political consultations, the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, “Swiss Economy Days in Uzbekistan,” and reciprocal visits of delegations.
