Uzbekistan and Sweden Exchange Experience on Child Rights Protection
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit to Sweden, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by the Commissioner for Children’s Rights (Ombudswoman) Surayo Rakhmanova held talks with representatives of the Swedish Children’s Ombudsman, according to Dunyo news agency.
The Children’s Ombudsman in Sweden is an independent state body responsible for the systematic protection of the rights of all children in the country. Its responsibilities include developing recommendations, analyzing legislation, and monitoring the situation of minors.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged experiences of their respective institutions, discussed participation in the implementation of state policies on child protection, as well as projects and analytical studies carried out by the Swedish Ombudsman. Special attention was given to sharing practical approaches to safeguarding the rights of minors.
