Uzbekistan and Sweden Discuss Ways to Expand Trade and Economic Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev held talks in Stockholm with Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation Benjamin Dousa.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing Uzbek-Swedish trade and economic relations, noting the steady positive growth of mutual trade in recent years.

Benjamin Dousa emphasized that Swedish delegations visiting Uzbekistan this year returned with highly positive impressions.

He noted that the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, along with an open foreign policy aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in Central Asia and deepening partnerships with the European Union, are increasing Uzbekistan’s importance for Sweden as a reliable and promising partner.
