Uzbekistan and Sweden Discuss Cooperation in Digitalization and IT Services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the city of Samarkand, within the framework of the ongoing UN Public Service Forum, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Sweden’s Minister for Migration Johan Forssell.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the digitalization of Uzbekistan’s public service system, the improvement of electronic services for citizens, and the ongoing reforms in this sector.
Particular attention was paid to the expansion of IT service exports. The discussions included prospects for entering European markets by establishing direct cooperation with Sweden.
The meeting also addressed initiatives to promote remote professions aimed at creating high-paying and competitive job opportunities for Uzbek youth without requiring them to leave the country.
Johan Forssell positively assessed Uzbekistan’s digital transformation efforts and expressed his readiness to share expertise and strengthen bilateral cooperation in this field.
