Uzbekistan and Stockholm Expand Bilateral Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov held talks with Stockholm Vice Mayor Anders Österberg, according to the Dunyo news agency.
The sides discussed prospects for establishing direct partnership between the capitals of the two countries and expanding existing forms of cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening mutually beneficial ties in the fields of economy, trade, innovation, culture, and tourism, as well as to the implementation of new initiatives and joint projects.
During the meeting, the contribution of the Uzbek diaspora living and working in Stockholm to the city’s development was highlighted.
The Vice Mayor noted the activity and diligence of Uzbek citizens across various sectors of the city’s economy and expressed readiness to jointly organize cultural and educational events with the local community.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to begin practical implementation of the discussed areas of cooperation, which is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and open new opportunities for interaction between Uzbekistan and Stockholm.
