Uzbekistan and Startup Genome Discuss Development of Startup Ecosystem

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During an official visit to the United States, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Olimjon Umarov, met with Harry Oliver, President of Startup Genome Hypergrowth Global.

The discussion focused on the development of Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem, support for local startups, and their entry into global markets. Special attention was given to expanding cooperation with venture investors and international accelerators, creating technology value chains, and establishing conditions necessary for sustainable growth.

The parties also exchanged views on the development of a long-term strategy for the country’s startup ecosystem.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to commence practical cooperation soon and to prepare a draft partnership agreement.
