Uzbekistan and Space Compass Discuss Cooperation in Space Technologies
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the sidelines of the International Astronautical Congress, the delegation of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies held a meeting with representatives of the Japanese company Space Compass, which specializes in advanced space technologies.
Space Compass was established in 2022 as a joint venture between NTT and SKY Perfect JSAT. The company develops next-generation infrastructure that integrates Earth, space, and the stratosphere into a single network based on satellites, high-altitude platform systems (HAPS), and ground systems.
The company is implementing innovative projects in space-based data processing, optical information transmission, and the development of extraterrestrial 5G/6G networks.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in space technologies, satellite communications, and advanced methods of data transmission, as well as opportunities for introducing high-tech projects in Uzbekistan.
Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to jointly implement initiatives and exchange expertise, expressing their intention to expand cooperation in these areas.
