Uzbekistan and South Korea Strengthen Cooperation in the Chemical Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A seminar was held in the South Korean cities of Daejeon and Yeosu as part of the joint research project “Kor-UZ,” organized by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The event was aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s chemical industry and further developing the Uzbek Center for Chemical Technologies (UzCCT).
During the seminar, scientists from Uzbekistan and South Korea presented six technical and scientific reports in the field of chemistry. Both sides had the opportunity to exchange experiences regarding modern developments and technologies.
Participants also visited the laboratories of KRICT, familiarized themselves with advanced equipment, and explored possibilities for its practical application.
The seminar included a meeting with master’s and doctoral students studying in South Korea under KOICA grant programs. Discussions focused on the future prospects of UzCCT, the role of young researchers in the center’s work, and how their knowledge and experience could contribute to the development of Uzbekistan’s industry.
This event represented an important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the chemical sector and opening new opportunities in research and development.
The continued collaboration is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s chemical industry on the international stage.
