Uzbekistan and South Korea Strengthen Cooperation in Metrology

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting with representatives of leading South Korean technology companies was held at the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology (UzNIM).

The event was attended by Sangwoon Lee, Chief Scientific Officer of MAXtin Global Co. Ltd, Chan Lim Park, CEO of Smart Safety Laboratory, as well as F. Kudratov, a specialist from the Uzbekistan Agency for Innovation Development.

During the discussions, the parties focused on implementing a metrological control system aimed at ensuring the accuracy and safety of measuring instruments at electric vehicle charging stations. In this context, a draft cooperation agreement was prepared for the creation of modern laboratories in line with international standards.

The Korean delegation was introduced to UzNIM’s activities, visited research laboratories, facilities for standard development, and the institute’s technical base. Detailed information was provided on ongoing projects, work toward international recognition of national measurement units, and prospects for further development of the country’s metrology system.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening scientific and technical cooperation, expanding experience sharing, and implementing advanced technologies.

The meeting marked an important step in deepening Uzbekistan–South Korea collaboration in metrology and advancing innovative solutions based on international standards.
