Uzbekistan and South Korea Sign Seismic Safety Memorandum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A memorandum of cooperation was signed in Tashkent between the Research Institute of Technical Standardization under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services and South Korea’s Land and Infrastructure Safety Agency (KALIS).
The agreement aims to develop bilateral collaboration in ensuring the seismic resilience of buildings and structures, conducting technical inspections, exchanging expertise, and implementing advanced international practices.
Under the memorandum, both sides plan to conduct joint scientific research, organize seminars and training programs, and carry out collaborative projects.
The document emphasizes the importance of strengthening professional ties, enhancing construction safety and quality, and promoting the broad application of modern approaches in seismic engineering.
